On February 5th, 2026, the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society will host its 12th Annual Race for Relevance at K1 Speed (formerly Autobahn Indoor Speedway)!
The Race for Relevance is a fundraising event created to help support the future of the engineering profession by encouraging our youth to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). All the funds raised from the event go towards the Chapter’s scholarship fund. In previous years, the Chapter has awarded scholarships to the University of North Florida engineering students and graduating high school students focusing on engineering.
Over the past 10 years, the event has raised over $89,000! With these proceeds, we have been able to award more scholarships to deserving students, including the Don and Carol Ditzenberger Scholarship, honoring two of our most committed lifetime members.
Following our 10th Anniversary event, we have continued many new traditions and we plan to build upon those in this year’s 12th annual event, including more team spots, and more sponsorship opportunities than ever before! All while continuing to support our scholarship program. We invite you to come out for some amazing food, fun, and friendly competition!
